OdahEdit is a photo editing app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
The short version: OdahEdit does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. Your photos and edits stay on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. OdahEdit has no servers. We do not operate a backend, we cannot see your photos, and we have no way to identify you. There is no account system, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing for us to store.
We do not use any third-party analytics, crash-reporting, attribution, or advertising SDKs. The app is built entirely on Apple’s own frameworks.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in OdahEdit is stored locally in the app’s private storage:
- Photos you import, and the working copies and previews generated from them
- Your edits — exposure, white balance, tone curve, colour, grain, and film simulation settings
- Looks and recipes you save
- Albums, ratings, and flags
- App settings
All image processing — decoding, film simulation, tone and colour adjustment, analysis tools, and export — runs on your device using Apple’s Core Image, Metal, and Vision frameworks. No image data is transmitted for processing.
Deleting the app removes this data from your device. If you have iCloud or iTunes device backups enabled, app data may be included in those backups; that is handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy terms, not by us.
The one time the app uses the network
OdahEdit has a single network feature: Import from URL. If you choose to import an image by entering a web address, the app downloads the file from that address so you can edit it.
When you use this feature:
- The request goes only to the address you entered. It does not pass through any server of ours.
- That third-party server will see the standard information any web request carries, including your IP address. Its operator’s privacy policy governs that, not this one.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your photos, edits, and looks are never sent anywhere by this feature — it only downloads.
If you never use Import from URL, OdahEdit makes no network requests at all.
Permissions the app asks for
- Photo Library (add only) — requested when you choose Save Image, so the exported photo can be written to your library. OdahEdit requests add-only access and does not read your photo library with this permission.
- Photo selection — when you import from Photos, iOS shows its own picker and hands the app only the images you pick. The app does not receive access to the rest of your library.
- Files — when you import from Files, the app receives only the files you select.
Children
OdahEdit does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It has no account system, no social features, no user-generated content shared with others, and no advertising.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or erase on request. You remain in full control of your own data on your device, and you can remove all of it at any time by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of OdahEdit adds a feature that changes how data is handled — analytics, crash reporting, an account system, or any feature that transmits your content — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
